I recently had the pleasure of shooting the grand opening of The BeVel Barber Lounge here in Kansas City, and man, it honestly felt like a big reunion. Murph started cutting my hair earlier this year, a little after he moved into the new spot. The shop was still in renovation mode, but every time I came through something new was done, another task finished. You could literally see the vision forming in real time.
Watching him build this thing piece by piece was inspiring. As the grand opening got closer, I asked how I could support. He and his wife, Erica, welcomed me in to document the moment, so I pulled up and did my thing. I know the quality of his work firsthand, and the shop reflects that same level of care, detail, and professionalism. Just a solid dude building something special.
