My journey into photo production began in Los Angeles, working inside rental houses, prep bays, and commercial sets where I learned lighting, equipment, and the rhythm of real production.
Those years built discipline and sharpened my understanding of how professional crews operate. On set, strong images don’t come from luck — they come from systems, preparation, and intentional lighting.
Working in those environments taught me how technical decisions affect the final image long before I was regularly behind the camera. That production mindset still shapes how I approach photography today.
Over time I moved deeper into editorial work, portraiture, and brand campaigns, contributing to projects that demanded both creative direction and technical execution.
After a decade in Los Angeles, I returned home to Kansas City with a simple goal: bring big-market production standards to the Midwest creative scene.
Today I work with artists, brands, organizations, and creative teams to produce photography that is thoughtful, lighting-driven, and built on a strong production foundation.
Whether I’m behind the camera or helping shape the light, the goal is the same:
Create visuals that work creatively, technically, and commercially.
I’m also the founder of KC Film Academy, a nonprofit focused on strengthening production education and workforce readiness in the Midwest.
