I’m Mickel Garrett—photographer, lighting designer, and production specialist with over a decade of hands-on industry experience.

At 29, I moved to Los Angeles to fully immerse myself in the world of creative production. I gained hands-on experience in some of LA’s busiest rental houses, studios, and commercial sets—learning not just the tools and gear, but the rhythm of professional production. It was there I truly absorbed the mechanics of the industry: lighting systems, grip gear, on-set dynamics, and how to meet the high expectations of commercial clients.

Over the years, I’ve developed deep technical expertise in grip, gaffing, and camera systems, working alongside top-tier photographers and production teams in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.

Now based in Kansas City, I’ve brought that experience home to build a full-service production hub—where creative collaboration meets technical precision. Whether you’re building a campaign, need expert lighting, or want a seamless shoot, I bring the same artistry, efficiency, and elevated standards refined over a decade in the industry’s fast lane.
